Brand strategy and web design for small businesses — Atelier Digital

Your brand deserves
a strategy, not just a website.

BRAND STRATEGY & WEB DESIGN

Brand strategist and Squarespace designer working on custom website design

After nearly a decade in the design industry — including senior-level work at Ogilvy — I now bring that same strategic thinking to small businesses who deserve more than a template.

Strategic direction and clarity for small business web design — Atelier Digital

A website without strategy is just an expensive brochure.

Before I touch a single design, we figure out the things that actually matter — who you're talking to, what you want them to feel, and what makes you the obvious choice. That clarity is what separates a site that looks nice from one that actually works.

I've spent a decade doing this, including senior UX work at Ogilvy. Now I bring that same thinking to businesses like yours — minus the agency price tag.

How it works

Clean and intentional web design aesthetic by Atelier Digital
Nadienka, brand strategist and Squarespace web designer at Atelier Digital

I've designed for the world's biggest brands. Now I do it for yours.

My background spans over a decade in UX and brand design, including senior-level work at Ogilvy — one of the world's most respected creative agencies. There I learned that great design starts long before you open a design file.

Strategy is the difference between a website that just exists and one that works. I bring that same strategic discipline to every project, no matter the size of the business.

FAQs

  • Web design is how your site looks. Brand strategy is what it says, who it speaks to, and why anyone should choose you over someone else. Most designers skip straight to design — I start with strategy, because a beautiful website built on unclear messaging still won't convert. Every project starts with getting your positioning right, so the design has something meaningful to express.

  • Before any design work begins, we have a focused discovery session where we dig into your business — who you serve, what makes you different, and what you need your ideal client to feel when they land on your site. From there I develop your messaging direction and visual approach, which becomes the blueprint for everything we build. You'll leave with clarity on your brand whether we design together or not.

  • If your current site isn't attracting the right clients, feels hard to explain, or just doesn't feel like you anymore — that's usually a strategy problem, not a design problem. A new coat of paint won't fix a message that isn't landing. Starting with strategy means we fix the root issue, not just the surface.

  • I design on Squarespace and Shopify, depending on what makes the most sense for your business. Both platforms are intuitive enough for you to manage on your own after launch — no developer needed.

  • You do — completely. At the end of the project I transfer full ownership to you. Your site, your content, your brand.

  • Yes — it's split into two halves. The first is due at booking to secure your spot, and the second is due before we kick off the project. Most clients book about a month in advance, which gives you time to prepare.

  • Squarespace plans typically run between $18 and $26 a month. These are ongoing fees paid directly to Squarespace and aren't included in your design package.

  • Absolutely. You become part of the Atelier client family, and I'm available for ongoing updates at an hourly rate — or you can join The Atelier Retainer for monthly support.

  • I'm based in Colorado, but I work with clients across the U.S. and internationally. Everything runs smoothly over video call.
